The pieces of pottery that make up this bracelet are called "Chaney" on St. Croix. Broken pieces of pottery dating back to the 1700's were found by island children and used as currency.
Today these beautiful fragments can be found on many Caribbean islands. These pieces were found on Ile a Cabrit, a tiny island south of Guadeloupe.
Dave created this piece as a wedding anniversary present for his wife, thus this particular one is not for sale. All Chaney is different, making each piece of jewelry unique.
